Sick

Little nug was up all Thursday night. He just seemed uncomfortable but didn't have a fever or anything. He got sent home from daycare because he threw up... Twice. And then again in my car on the way home. His extra clothes at daycare were too small so he was sent home in a purple princess shirt. My bad!!!Poor baby! He slept most of today. I hope it's just a 24 hour bug.

Stack em up

Cash is loving anything stackable. He has a sense of intense purpose when he plays with them. Like he has a plan in his head and that everything has a certain spot. Greyson and Christi gave him these for his birthday. The stackable rings were a gift from Dedes friend when Cash was born and he has been playing with them for months!

Oops! More from today

I forgot that Cash went to the doctor today. Not for his check up but because he has been sick all weekend. Really since last Wednesday. He has upper respiratory infection. Anti biotics and more of his albuterol should do the trick. Even this kiddo was smiling today in the waiting room. I hope he starts feeling better. This illness has wreaked havoc on his sleep, which has left Wesley and I running on fumes.

First Birthday

I cannot believe this day is here. At one point in time it felt as though time stood still and that Cash's first birthday was forever away. To think that the nugget has been with us for an entire 365 days is mind blowing. Looking back at pictures I catch myself holding back tears and feel completely overwhelmed with emotion. This year has been full of excitement, tears, disbelief, laughter, frustration, encouragement and love. Wesley and I are blessed with some amazing friends. Their support has carried us through this year. Our families have been so helpful in countless ways. I constantly think how lucky we are to have such an amazing support system surrounding us. Pictures are of him opening presents from all our friends.

Dear Cash,

You are our entire world. I hope one day you will know how much love and joy fill our hearts being your parents. Watching you reach all of those milestones this year has been so fun and so rewarding!!!! You are such a ball of spunk! I love your smile. You smile all day every day!!!! Currently you are standing on your own. You begin to take a few steps but are not officially walking. If there is something around for you to push, that is exactly what you do whether it be a clothes basket, box or car. You even push your new motorized four wheeler!!! Food is something that has not been an issue yet, which I feel lucky about. You have quite the appetite, but somehow you manage to share a little of every meal with your two furry sisters :) We are so proud of you, sweet nugget. I can tell your heart is full of so much good. There is a look you get in your eyes when you are excited and its priceless. We are however entering the stage of temper tantrums. Every time you get in a tizzy you throw your head back and I gasp because I'm so scared you will bust your head on our floor!!!!! This is the beginning of a long life of worrying :).
But I'm so happy to be worrying about you, Cash Roberts Poth. We love you with all of our hearts and cannot wait for another year with you!!!!!

Giving Thanks

We have so many things to be thankful for this year. Our celebration began Thursday with Wesley's family and ended with one of my best friends wedding. Today I'm going to post the pictures from Thanksgiving day and Cash's first birthday celebration with the Poth family.

Magical weekend

Aunt bobby Aunt Jan Bachan and Katie were in town this weekend. We spent Saturday decorating the house for the holidays. Our place has transformed into a beautiful Christmas wonderland. Today we also celebrated the nuggets first birthday with a fun little cake and presents. Amarillo gave Cash a motorized three wheeler. He literally gasped when we saw Wes walking outside with it. So priceless!!!!!!! He just loved it. And did really well pushing the accelerator on his own. He loved it so much that he didn't want to get off. So he opened his other presents and ate his birthday cake while he sat on it :) Cash also received some really cute outfits and Katie gave him the coolest baby etch a sketch!!!!! he really enjoyed his early birthday party!

Cold weather came to visit today. Hopefully it sticks around a while. It is a nice change for the fall season!
