Whew!

Wesley and I have been in Hawaii for a week! A week in Hawaii without the nugget. I honestly wasn't too upset about leaving him.;) He was staying with my mom for part of the trip and then the second half, my aunts, Bachan and cousin Ty came to stay with Cash. He had a big week! He helped Dede unpack some boxes at her new house!!! He went to Asahi, the Japanese market that Bachan likes to visit while she is here. And he also turned 8 months!!!!!!! What a big week for the little nugget.

He has those two bottom teeth still peeking through his gums and they are sharp!!! He talks more and more every day. He is most chatty at night. He isn't crawling yet, but he scoots around in circles while he sits up. Pretty funny. He will play independently for a while in his area in the living room and throw his toys everywhere! If you sit next to him he will start climbing on you and trying to stand up. Cash will sometimes lean in toward you or reach his arms up for you. I absolutely love that. And while this cute kid is mostly well behaved, he has started arching his back and crying before naps and when he is not a fan of what you are doing. Not fun!! And hard to believe he is already old enough to start throwing fits... Boo!!! So far, he is also enjoying some Olympics. Go team USA!!!

While Wesley and I will be transitioning back to the real world (Hawaii is 5 hours behind us.... Ouch!) Cash is till on his schedule, which means I am tired :)

Thank you to my amazing family for all of the help. I had a great vacation with my hubby and was able to completely enjoy myself knowing the nugget was in good hands. Makes a big difference and I know that we are one lucky family!

ENT update

Cash is getting tubes. I really like our doctors and feel like it is the right thing to do. He will have such relief after it is over. After treating 4 infections in 4 months, our little guy is on and off antibiotics and in and out of the pediatrician's office. I think we have been almost every other week since we started daycare. Between the diagnosis, follow ups and then his regular monthly check ups we are quite the regulars there :)

Cash was a rock star at the appointment today. Just chilling and chewing on a water bottle. Those little teeth are almost here!!!!!

Mexican food Fridays

That seems to be a trend around here. Wesley and I cook most week nights so by Friday we are ready for some Mexican food and drinks. Last night the Rauhuts came with us. Cash was very excited to talk to Greyson. Christi invited me to try out her boot camp this morning and Wesley was nice enough to watch BOTH kiddos! Boot camp was HOT!!!! And I will most definitely be sore tomorrow. We are now lounging by the pool in the backyard, playing ball with the Sophmeister and waiting for Dede to arrive. Have a great weekend y'all!

Pearly whites and ear infections

That's all that is going on in our house. Cash has another double ear infection, making it the fourth one in four months. We see and ENT next Monday to discuss Cash being a candidate for tubes. No cute pics this time.... Between the ear infections and the first tooth peeking through his gums, Cash isn't up for much other than cuddling and chewing on his frozen rings. Poor little dude.

Saturday and Sunday we hit up the lake. What loads of fun!!!!!!!!!! So nice and relaxing and cash really enjoyed himself. Today a tooth has started making its way in and WHOA! Such a difference with the little dude's mood today. Poor kid! Wish us luck folks! ;)

Happy Friday!

Dede went home today. She was so helpful with Cash this week while our daycare was closed. Cash was helpful, too. He assisted Dede with folding the laundry!
Today after work I did some baking. Wesley's bday is coming up so I wanted to treat him to a cake. Different than what we usually do, but I know he will love it. I also got some of Brandy's delicious pretzels ready because we will be out on the boat all weekend and they are the perfect snack! And then we just hung out eating peaches and playing on the back porch.

Happy 4th!

Cash hung out with Dede while Wesley and I headed out to the lake. We wanted to watch the fireworks show that Austin Country Club was having. Ryan and Griff met us at the house and we loaded up to hang out a while at the dock area to wait for the Rauhuts. Once Christi kurtis and Greyson met us, we headed down south to grab a bite to eat at Ski Shores. After scarfing down burgers and a beer we headed towards the 360 bridge to get a spot for the fireworks show. There were a TON of boats out. We had a wonderful Fourth of July! Hope you all did, too!

Errands with the nugget

It is different now that Cash is no longer in his small car seat. The days of running errands and eating out while he peacefully sleeps are long gone. Now, we have this cute guy hanging out in high chairs and shopping carts. One thing I do like quite a bit is the Boon Squirt. It's a spoon that holds his baby food. You just squeeze it out and you don't have to worry about brining both food and spoon... I always forget the spoon, which is no bueno with a hungry nugget man in public!

Jack Allens

We love jack Allen's kitchen off 71. We had dinner with the Shrouts tonight and it was deeeeelish! We ended the night with the Chocolate Bomb dessert. It did not disappoint!

Boats, golf carts and deer... Oh my!

Friday we met up with Tom and Jenna who were in town for Nikki's birthday. Nikki and chad live in Steiner so hopefully we will start meeting up with them more in the future. We went to uncle Billy's on the lake. The crew stayed for a concert while the nugget and I headed home. Wanted to avoid the whole baby in a bar bit.

Saturday we got up early for a run before heading to Lake Buchanan. Becky, one of my oldest dearest friends, her family has a lake house. Her family and in laws were in town so I packed Cash up and drove to hang out for the day. Cash had a big day!!!! Not only did he get to play with Nolan (Becky's almost 2yr old) it was also a day full of some firsts. First time on a boat, first time in the lake and first time cruising in a golf cart looking at all the deer. He had so much fun. He also hung out in the pool with Nolan who was so nice and shared all of his toys. Nolan is getting a little sister in August and he will be such a good big bro!!! Look how precious he is?!?! He would wave hello to all the other boats on the lake. SO CUTE!

I'm so happy we got to see them and we can't wait to meet the newest Baby Rogers.
