Lazy Saturday

This kiddo had a few bursts of energy today, but we mostly spent the day hanging out on the couch. Vomiting is gone (knock on wood) and all that is lasting is that pesky fever and some diarrhea. Poor baby :(. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day because this mama is spent!!!

What a way to start the weekend

Poor nugget is sick. Cash got sick in his crib last night and we had to wash everything! Including the nugget. He got a bath at midnight. Still sick this morning with fever and vomiting. Hopefully it is a short stomach bug.

Easter Egg Hunt Party

Cash's daycare always has fun activities for holiday celebrations. I made it there just in time to find Cash is a sea of kiddos. Sitting eating his snack. The teachers passed out the kid's baskets and off they went. Cash RAN towards the eggs. It was so funny watching his little legs move that quickly. He quickly scored lots of eggs and was having a great time. Afterwards Wes hung out and watched him play with the other nuggets.

Rodeo

We took Cash to the rodeo a few weeks ago. He enjoyed driving the tractors and petting the babies at the petting zoo.

16 months

This age is my absolute favorite. It seems like we have hit the sweet spot and I am loving every minute of it.

Cash is understanding so much more and we are understanding him in many more ways. He has a mouthful of teeth and really likes to brush them. And use them to eat crayons :). Cash has a new interest with the frisbee but is disappointed when Raley does not chase it. I don't blame her because it doesn't go very far.

We have been doing many play dates and afternoons at the park. Cash loves spinach smoothies and reading books and will throw an impressive fit (full on tantrum) if he isn't allowed to do something.

Dear Cash,

I tell you this all the time, but we love you so very much. You are so funny that there are many nights, after you have gone to bed, your dad and I talk about the funny things you did that day. There is a dance you do that is hysterical. You like to "roooaaar" really loudly when we see pictures of lions or tigers. There are certain times that you will organize your books into piles and take them one by one to another spot to move your stack.
Nugget, you are the best. We truly are thankful to have you in our lives.

TMI

This post probably has too much information about diaper rash, but it has totally affected my entire weekend so I thought I would share.

Saturday we had a great day at Papaw Turks house. We played outside and painted stones for their garden. Mary's grandsons Riley and Joshua were there so that was fun for Cash, too.

While having fun, Cash started having diarrhea, which led to awful awful diaper rash. His little booty was so swollen and raw he was so uncomfortable. I felt so badly for him. He wouldn't even sit on your lap or take a bath, it hurt that bad!

So not only dealing with changing his diaper about every hour since Saturday morning, Cash has had a sore little booty which has made his weekend a little rough.

Of course I have no pictures from my dads house, but Cash crashed hard when we got home. He had a great time!

Today has been a lot of hugs and diaper changes. I bathed Cash in the kitchen sink so he could stand up and not have his bottom in too much water. He had a blast!

Here is to hoping there is some change by tomorrow.

First remote controlled car

Cash received a remote controlled car from Carmen and her family for his birthday. He is quite obsessed with it. The car lights up and makes fun car noises and he just laughs and laughs.

Cash doesn't quite get the remote control yet, so he goes and picks up the car and brings it back instead of "driving" it.

We have some great friends who spoil the nugget.

M.I.A

We have been MIA because I'm just too lazy to blog lately :). There. I said it :)

This post will be a bunch a random pictures. Cash has been enjoying are beautiful weather outside. We have been in our yard every extra minute we have. This week Cash had his 15 month appointment and was quite a little toot. Toddler attitude has arrived. Womp womp.

This morning Cash enjoyed some strawberry banana spinach smoothie and played with his magnets. He also tried to get water from the fridge in his cup. He tried for a solid 10 minutes.

I also included the first picture of Nugget #2 who is coming October 1st. It is the reason why I'm so lazy and tired. #2 is already sucking the life out of me. :)
