Ten weeks

Ten weeks. I can't believe it!!!!!

Weekend catch up

Today is rainy and overcast so you know what that means.... We have been lazy bugs today. Cash has been napping for over 2 hours and so have the puppies! Yesterday after my Color Run, I attempted to get clean. I still have mud on my toes and color powder under my nails. I found color powder in my ear last night!!!! Fun race, but man I haven't felt clean since!!! Our pool table was installed and Wesley rearranged the back room so it would fit. Larry and Melissa came to visit the little dude. The boys played pool while Melissa and I watched and drank wine. We ended the night with steak and baked potatoes. Yummy! Today we will be cooking some chili and watching the super bowl. Dede comes today so we are very excited about that! Happy Sunday :)

The color run

Kristin and I ran the color run 5k this morning. well, I say run, but we walked most of it. Due to the crazy rain Austin got overnight, it was so muddy! I mean,people were losing their shoes it was so muddy. The run was fun, and we will definitely do it again next year.
We got out of the race pretty clean bc they ran out of the colored powder but you get the idea from the pictures.

It is not you.... It is me

No improvement with our sleep last night. Growth spurt? Too much change in the last few days? Tired/sore since he had so many vaccines? Totally normal bc he is a 9 week... errrr... 10 week (as of tomorrow) old baby?! The guessing game that is my life. I gotta let it go bc it consumes me. And I totally let it. Wes thinks I'm absolutely nuts. I constantly think of what we did or didn't do to make our nights not so restful. I then get a "gameplan" to get back on track and when it doesnt work I try something else and beat myself up over it. I'm going crazy. It's me..... Not you baby Cash. And I have to stop!!!! here are some pictures that Maria sent me today. I mean, he is so adorable!!! We are all so happy to have Dede come stay with us for an entire week!!! yay! :) she arrives Sunday and she hasn't seen Cash since before Christmas! She better get ready for a great arm workout! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Zzzzzzz

Wesley and I are sleeeeepppy today. We have been spoiled by Cash sleeping from 10-5:30/6:00, with the exception of a quick dreamfeed around 11:30. Last night he was up at 3:30, 4:00 and then again at 5:15. we are in a bit of a pickle.... Cash gets so stopped up without the humidifier, but sometimes it makes his room so warm! last night he was sweating, poor little nugget. Even with the fan on high and the door open. So tonight I think I am going to just swaddle him naked!

I wouldn't dare try to get him to sleep unswaddled so this seems like the next thing to try. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow. Also, I am going to buy a bigger sleep sack. Cash is getting too big for the ones we have. Maybe the extra Length will hrlp him stay comfy. Hopefully tomorrow I will be posting something About a rested and alert baby nugget.

I miss the little nugget

Today is my first day back at work and I feel like I'm walking around with no arms or something. So sad! It is the strangest feeling not having Cash around. It breaks my heart, but I know he is in good hands the rest of the week. My friend Monica works for a nanny placement agency and hooked us up with Maria. when I answered the door this morning, I immediately liked her. I know Cash will enjoy his time with her but at the same time I am so sad to be away from him. My amazing family sent me beautiful flowers to work. They smell wonderful! By 11:00 I had to send a text to Maria to check in and she sent me a pic of the little dude looking pretty happy :) can't wait to get home!
