Dear Cash,
You crack us up. You laugh when we make silly faces and tickle your neck. There is a sweet spot by your collar bone that gets you going every time. You don't want to miss out on anything! Any noise you hear you immediately look around to investigate. We have introduced you to all types of new baby foods, and you seem to enjoy them all. The one thing I keep checking for everyday is a tooth! But so far, just gums.
You love the ladies at daycare and smile so brightly when we drop you off, which makes me happier than you will ever know. I'll be sad when you move into the "big kid" class because I love your teachers, Katie and Angela.
You are trying very hard to crawl. You are scooting around some but not covering a lot of ground yet. I know you are going to take off any day now.
You talk and talk and talk (sometimes yell) and it is so funny to listen to you. You are into anything that makes noises. Banging hitting scraping your toys together can keep you occupied for a while. You like holding your own bottle even though sometimes I find you licking on the bottom wondering why nothing is coming out. You love listening to us sing songs during your breathing treatments and we are trying to teach you to clap. You wear size 9/12 months and size 3 diaper. Eating three meals and 4-5 bottles (8oz each) a day. We just moved up to a big boy car seat and you look so much more comfy. You were so big in the other one.
overall you are just so darn happy and I love that about you! You are my light and my love and we are so lucky to have you!!
Happy 7 months Mr. Man!!!!!!!

Fun fun weekend
We started off our weekend with some wine and yummo food at The Grove. It was deelish! My mom treated us to a late fathers day celebration. Saturday Wesley's high school friend got married so we packed up and stayed downtown. Super fun wedding at Mansion at Judges hill. I have always wanted to see that place and it was beautiful inside. Sunday I went out shopping with Wesley's aunt Kim while Cash had a day with Grandma. Below are pics of him playing with his new toy that she brought. He must of had fun because he fell asleep about five minutes after everyone left. Aunt Kim treated Cash to some cute Fourth of July outfits that I will have I show in another post. He is one spoiled baby!

It is a sad sad day
Dear Bouncer,
I have been trying to avoid this day for a few weeks now. I cannot believe we are already at the point to say good bye to you. Cash just isn't small enough to sit in you anymore. When he does, you recline almost to the floor. Last time I strapped Cash in, desperate for a home workout, the nugget was so strong he almost rolled you over with him when he saw another toy he wanted next to you. I cannot tell you how much this saddens me. We have been through a lot together over the last 7 months. You were there during Cash's first few weeks during the night. He would only sleep with you and a blanket for about a week, which feels like a lifetime in those newborn days. There were so many days we would take you with us outside to enjoy the weather and play with the dogs. Cash would just lounge and enjoy your bright lights and sounds almost every morning while we got dressed for the day. You helped us by keeping the nugget entertained in the kitchen while we prepared our meals and by the table while we ate our dinners. There were so many times I just couldn't calm Cash down, but you always pulled through. I remember the first time your batteries ran out and I cried trying to unscrew those pesky tiny baby proof screws at 3 in the morning while Cash wailed. I apologize for any names I might have called you that night purely out of frustration. Above all, thank you for all of the great picture and video opportunities you provided during your time with us. And even though you will be tucked away in the guest closet, we will think of you often and you will be the first thing we get out when we decide to have another baby!
Mucho love and appreciation,

Lucky little nugget
Cash sure is lucky that his Dede loves him so much. She helped take care of him while he is home sick this week which was awesome since Wesley is out of town. She was planning on coming this weekend anyways while Wesley and I go to a wedding downtown Saturday so we can hang out and enjoy ourselves, so it worked out well. His fever broke last night and he is starting to get his energy back so we are excited!! Another person who is enjoying Dede's stay? Sophie! My mom will play with her until she passes out in the kitchen :) Sophie loves playing with that ball and I hate that she doesn't get as much of our time as she used to. She even will drop her ball in front of Cash... that is how much she wants to play!!!!

Fever and ear infection
Cash felt warm all weekend and was more lethargic than usual, but I just assumed it was associated with traveling and teething. Poor baby had a 102 fever today so I had to pick him up from daycare. He looked so sad in his crib. Just hanging out on his side with Hank and a pacifier watching the other kids play. Broke. My. Heart. Went to the doctor and she noticed he had an ear infection.... Maybe a little bug too. So we are staying home for a few days until the fever breaks. Hope the antibiotic works. From the looks of these pics, you couldn't tell he was sick.

Amarillo by Morning
What a fun-filled weekend! We made our way to Amarillo for a wedding. Cash's first flight went really well. We spent the weekend with my family and introduced Cash to a few family members he had not met yet. Of course I didn't take many pictures, but I did get a few of Cash showing of his new skill holding his bottle and of him playing with his new rattle. Katie just got home from Japan and brought it with her. Cash loves that thing!!
I would spend a week or so every summer in Amarillo when I was younger. I have the best memories from those trips. I cannot wait until Cash gets to do the same thing. :) when we got home there was a package for Cash from his aunt Kim! He loves his new book. It crinkles and jingles and Cash really likes it. Thanks Kim!!!!!
