Katie, Carrie and Crawfish!

Katie came to the rescue this weekend. We needed someone to watch Cash because Wesley and I had tickets to see Carrie Underwood on Saturday and she was so so sweet to come into town.

The concert was so good! This is the third time we have seen Carrie and she is such a fun person to see live. We knew Cash was in good hands at home. He slept like a rock that night!

Sunday morning we had breakfast at Los Pinos and then headed to the park. Cash had extra fun with Katie there :). Afterwards we headed home to get ready for a crawfish boil that we were hosting. It's so nice to have help with Cash when you are trying to set up for guests. This was the first time Katie had tried crawfish and I think she liked it! Sadly, she had to head home soon afterwards.

We spent the rest of the day playing with friends and eating yummy crawfish. Cash has a ball with the other kiddos. I love watching him make new friends! All the kids played very well together.

What a wonderful way to end a great weekend!

17 months

I feel like this month has flown by with few updates. The nugget is growing like a weed and eating like a horse. He has been on a steroid for croup this week which has made his appetite even bigger! We have been enjoying our meals outside and Cash loves his picnic table from Wesley's Aunt Kim. Probably the gift we have been getting the most use of lately.

Cash loves tractors and points them out on his clothes and when we pass them on the side of the road. He enjoys "driving" in the front seat with dad around the block or down to the lake. Wes has been getting the boat ready and we are all looking forward to the summer out on it.

We do a lot of exploring after school in the backyard. Cash just wanders and looks for things to throw or carry around. He just loves it outdoors. He has started saying bye bye and blowing kisses. Who doesn't love a baby blowing kisses? It's the cutest thing ever. When music is playing, cash will dance and spin around then clap when the song is over. The four-wheeler from the Amarillo group is still one of his favorite toys. That and the red car we gave him for Christmas. Man, he loves his cars. Cash doesn't get how to steer the four-wheeler so he will drive it from one end of the yard to the next. He gets off and turns it around when he hits the fence. It's pretty funny to watch.

Spring is here

This entire weekend was spent outside. We had beautiful weather yesterday, but if it is any indication of what our summers will be like, we are in for a very warm one. We went to the park and then hiked a neighborhood trail. Cash had fun splashing in the streams and picking flowers. It was hot!!!! So to cool off, we brought out the pool from last summer and a sprinkler. I don't have any pictures of the sprinkler because we both were running through it with Cash, but he had a blast!!!

An update on baby 2: as of October I will officially be out numbered. We are 85% sure it's a boy. Little guy wasn't cooperating so we won't have confirmation until may. I hope they grow up being best friends.

Cash and his friends

We have been busy busy with play dates and park time this weekend. Saturday we met Kristin and Henry for some park fun. I didn't take picture but they had a blast. Cash is so funny with older kids. He just watches and mimics what they do. It's presh. Hen we got home my high school friend, Wes stopped by the house. He brought his cute pups and Cash thought they were so funny! Later that night we went to help Greyson put his new trampoline together. The kids loved it and the husbands had fun bouncing them around.

Today we met Alexa and Jack at Central Market for a play date at their fun play area. They have a smaller park just the right size for the kiddos. Alexa is pregnant, too. Due oct 16th! We will have new babies the same age and that will be so fun! The boys played well together and worked up an appetite. We had a delicious lunch and listened to the jazz band on the patio. What a great weekend so far!!!! Cash is snoozing away right now while I catch up on Real Housewives of Orange County.

Pics of Easter egg hunt

Weekend

we had quite the weekend with little nugget. He stopped having any symptoms by Saturday morning so I thought about still going to Poth for Easter. Wes had already driven down on Friday and I knew people would be disappointed if they didn't see Cash. I don't blame them, he is a pretty fun kiddo, but I just didn't think he was 100% yet. We ended up heading there during his nap on Saturday. Pretty much the entire weekend, Cash was not himself. Cranky and clingy just not feeling it. He didn't sleep well, which never is a good thing, and he just had a hard time all weekend. Even though I am sure he enjoyed hunting eggs and seeing some cousins, Cash needed a few more days to get back to feeling better. Next time I'm going to listen to my gut and respect the baby nugget by letting him have his own weekend to recover on his own time. That nasty stomach bug really takes it out him. Here is a picture of Cash and his cousins. They were pretty cute all together.
