Weekend re cap

Saturday after breakfast, I headed to San Antonio for my rock and roll race. I wanted to run a half marathon before Cash turned one. I didn't feel particularly strong going into it, but decided to run it anyways. Training for something since having Cash is tougher than I thought. And it's not because I don't have time or people aren't around to help... I just didn't train enough. After my BIG slice of humble pie served at the race, I am ready to do what it takes to train better for my run in January. I haven't hurt that much during a race, ever!!!!! Lesson learned!

While I was away, my mom watched Cash plus Aunt sandy and Jenny Claire came by the house again. My mom said Cash wouldn't leave his old bouncer alone. We keep it in the closet because he doesn't seem interested in it anymore, but maybe absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Visitors!

Aunt Sandy and Jenny Claire surprised us this week. They are in town for a track meet and to tour UT. They brought the nugget a cool puzzle book. It's so soft and the perfect size for his little hands. Cash is also "walking" more and more. He is getting better about balancing in his own and gliding from furniture to furniture. He is getting braver... Maybe he will be walking, soon!

Viva las vegas

We celebrated my 31st bday in sin city, baby! Wes was there for work so it worked out well to extend his stay for a fun weekend. And it happened to fall on my bday so that worked out even better. Cash stayed home with Dede while we went and played. My flight was delayed four hours! By the time I arrived, I scarfed down dinner and we went to bed. Exciting times!!!! ;) Saturday we slept in (awesomeness) shopped and watched the horns kick Tech's booty! What a pleasant weekend for the team to whoop up! I love beating Tech. Especially on their home turf. Saturday night some friends met us out and we had a lovely steak dinner, lots of desserts and yummy drinks. Afterwards we went to a cirque de solei show and it was so good!!! What a wonderful and fun way to spend my birthday!!! Of course, I have to include some cute pics of the nugget.

Happy Halloween!

The Amarillo Crew gave Cash the cutest Bevo outfit a while ago. When we were thinking of costume ideas, I remembered we had it in the closet. It. Is. Perfect!!!!!!!!

Fun weekend!

From play dates to trick or treating, we did it all! Saturday we woke up and had breakfast with Dede. This place is an awesome deli and has a little kids corner, so Cash entertained himself while we waited the the food. After our delicious omlettes we made a quick stop by Geronimo park. Cash a quick nap and then we packed up and went to Kyle to play with Jackson and Meredith. These two were such fun hosts. We had delicious mummy dogs and Halloween cookies. Then we loaded up the kiddos in the red wagon and went to the park. Cash really enjoyed the cars that were there. Once the kids were played out, Cash and I headed to meet back up with Dede to to shop at the galleria. There happened to be a big Halloween festival there so Cash was able to see lots of children dressed up trick or treating. They had face painting and a bouncy house set up. Next year he will really like it!

Today was another day of running around. I ran the Run for Water 10 miler and can barely move. It was the hilliest course I have ever run. Yikes!!!! Afterwards, Dede and I went shopping for more fall clothes for the cash man. The weather is getting colder and nothing is cuter than a bundled up baby!!!! We found some cute stuff for him.
