Walker 17 months

Little Walkie is not so little anymore!  He went to the doctor last week for a nasty cold and he weighed 26.6 pounds!  He is still feisty, spunky and independent, but boy does he has a sweet side.  He gives the best hugs because he wraps his arms around your neck and while he "hugs"  you, he makes this "hhmmm ah" sound that makes me smile every time.  We are still working on gentle touches at daycare because he can sometimes play too rough and gets a little pushy when he is having a toddler tantrum.  But this week, his teachers were proud of him because a new little girl was crying and Walker walked over and gave her a baby doll.  Sweet little Walker.  He says, "mine", "mama", "dada" and "whats that?".  He walks around with his hands up in the air like, "where is it?" when he knows I am looking for something.  He is adventurous and I find him everywhere!  Walker loves driving the red jeep and holds his legs up in the air like Cash does when he rides his orange motorcycle.  You cannot ask this kid if he wants a snack.  You have to say something specific or he thinks you are talking about a fruit snack and will stand in from of the cookie jar and demand them.   Here are some pictures of our little guy this past month.

Wesley reading Paw Patrol probably for the 100th time that day.

Walker's teachers took pictures of him painting.  They were impressed by his skills and how long he painted his flower pot.

Walker still loves blueberries and bananas, but cheese sticks and blueberry muffins are a close second.  He is also having fun using a spoon during meal time, too.

Picture taking is pretty much a joke...  This kid does not stay still for one second.

He is sleeping in later and later (thank goodness), but sometimes he wakes up and I am still getting ready for work, so he hangs out with me in the bathroom and watches the ipad while eating his breakfast.

Dear Walker,
You are the light of my life.  There is something about you that just warms my heart every time I see you.  Maybe its your silly grin or deep raspy laugh, but whatever it is, I just love you so much.  I can tell you are going to be one bright star.  You are learning so much and just love your brother and watching you tag along behind him makes me smile.   I cannot believe you are closer to and closer to 2 years old!!!!  Time is flying by, but we are having so much fun with you!!

Love, mama

A little bit of everything

To pick up where we left off, here is Cash using his Buddy Bucks from HEB.  After his nap on Sunday, we went grocery shopping.

Walker getting into trouble by taking Cash's cup.  His face cracks me up.

The photos on the right are taken within seconds of each other.  Walker does not stop.  He touches/grabs/pulls everything.

Wednesday, Zsa Zsa came to pick up the boys from school and they had a good time.  Here they are waking up from their naps.

And then hitting up the backyard because the weather was so nice.

Cash smiling to say, "Thank you" to Aunt Bobby and Uncle wayne for sending some Valentine's Day money.

Walker getting into the fridge...

Cash wanting to show you his Rocky shirt.

Walker was wearing his new Paw Patrol shirt, but you can barely tell.  Kiddo would not stop for a picture.

Wesley practicing guitar while Cash plays the drums.

Today, Walker and Wesley have been reading some Paw Patrol.  Walker can point to every character when you say their names.  He is so smart!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Sunday morning at the zoo

We all needed to get out of the house for a little bit this morning so we hit up the zoo.

Cash is still not feeling 100%

Walker had so much fun feeding the goats and sheep.

And Cash decided to feed some goats towards the end.

We also rode the train, but no pictures were taken.  Now the boys are napping and Wesley and I are watching Alias.  Yall.  Get on Netflix and binge watch Alias.  You will thank me later.  I watched it in college.  A bootleg DVD that I cannot remember how we found.  And it was in Chinese with sub titles.  So I am appreciating watching them this way.  And, if you have time, watch the Valentine's Day episode of Blackish.  So funny.

Valentine's Day 2015

The boys celebrated Valentine's Day early with Zsa Zsa on Thursday.

They got a basket full of cool toys and yummy treats.

And then they played outside.

On Valentine's Day the boys missed their party at school because Cash had a fever and had to go home early.  I gave Cash some tylenol when we got home and it made a little difference in his mood, so we went outside for a bit.

And then it was downhill from there.  Walker loved to snuggle with Cash on the couch.  You can tell Cash is not as excited about it.

We were  I was up all night Friday cleaning up vomit and changing sheets.  Finally around 1 am, I found some meds from the time Cash went to the ER that helps with nausea.  That seemed to help because he stopped throwing up.

Saturday, Cash was still pretty tired and fussy from the night before so he just hung out in bed or on the couch.  Walker on the other hand, was in a great mood and loved playing with his balloon from Zsa Zsa.

This is Walker's famous pout face.  I try and try to get a good picture of it, but it is so hard.  He was mad at me because I would not let him walk around with the balloon string tied around his ankle...  man, I am so mean! ;)

Walker is starting to notice the planes that go by when we are outside and he will run out to the grass and look for them in the sky.  This is what he does when he looks for something.

 Our sweet little Valentine!

Mr. Pathetic came outside for just bit.  Poor thing just was not feeling well.

Later on, my mom came over to watch the boys while Wesley and I had a yummy dinner out at J5 Steakhouse.

And I cannot forget...  this pretty lady turned 11 on Valentine's Day.

We love you Sophie!

Oh, and Cash wanted me to take a picture of all the Valentine's Day loot.  Both Dede and Zsa Zsa bought Walker Paw Patrol stuff and he was in HEAVEN!  We have read his new books a billion times already.  I am sure when Cash starts to feel better, we will be enjoying his new stuff as well!
