Lame recap

I have not been very good at keeping up with taking pictures for the blog. This weekend recap is lame-o due to lack of pictures. We did a lot, but all I captured were
1) cash is getting into trucks. Like he is driving them around the house. He loves his new leggo and tractor combo that Greyson gave him for Valenntines Day.

2) we went to Home Depot on Saturday and Cash likes driving the cart. For about two minutes. We then walked up and down every aisle while Dad shopped. He was pretty cute walking around that big ole store.

3) Books! Cash has become obsessed with books overnight. Especially his Brown Bear Brown Bear book the the Henthorns gave him. He has been bringing the book to me and putting it in my lap. We have started a new bed time routine that includes taking some books to the bedroom (Cash gets to pick) and we settle in the glider and read. I have noticed that this helps him wind down since we have pulled the pacifier. I enjoy this cuddly time because as y'all know, toddlers do not sit still!

You blow me away!

Cash had some cute Valentine's Day gifts for his friend. We packaged up a little bottle of bubbles for everyone to take home. Dede made yummy blueberry muffins for the whole school to enjoy! The teachers said they were gobbled up by everyone. Valentines Day is also Sophie's bday! She celebrated her ninth birthday. We love you, Sophie!

Family time

Aunt Jan and Katie were both in the Austin area this week for two different conferences. How cool is that?! They extended their stay to have some time with the nugget and me. We shopped, ate yummy food and just enjoyed each other. Here are some pictures from their stay.

Hobby Lobby this is Bobby

Ummmmmmm...... I met Bobby Bones. I cannot tell you how happy this made me. And to make it even better, I got to experience it with my amazing cousin Katie.

For those who don't know, I'm a little crazy about listening to The Bobby Bones Show and they made an announcement this week that they are moving from Austin to Nashville. Even though we will still be able to listen to the show, the crew is moving to another station and was doing a farewell show this past Friday. Katie had the amazing idea that we should go wait outside the studio and watch the show.

We got up early and headed down there to wait with other fans. And then the amazing thing happened. WE GOT TO GO INSIDE THE STUDIO!!!!! We met the entire show and were able to sit in the studio while they were live. AND THEN.... We had the chance to talk on the radio!!!!!!!! It was amazing and fun and the best day EVER!!! Katie and I both geaked out totally but it was such an incredible day. And we will remember it always!

Tomatoes

Cash has a new favorite treat. Tomatoes!!! He gobbles these things up and points to the fridge for more. Only bad thing is they are messy!!!!

Cash man is on the go all day long :) we started off our Sunday with me running around trying to get a picture of Cash that isn't blurry. That didn't happen. We then made banana protein pancakes for breakfast. Cash helped me stir. They were yummy!

Cash is also starting to communicate more. He says nana for banana and oo oo when the dogs bark. I think it's his "woof woof" :) he grabbed my hand and took me to the entry way by the kitchen and was pointing to his duck call. So he practiced his calls while I cleaned up after breakfast.

The rest of our afternoon was spent doing lots of other things. We recently bought a mirrored buffet that was delivered on Saturday. Cash likes to look at himself and laugh. I roasted some veggies for the nugget to snack on. He loves those sweet potatoes and had a few broccoli florets.

After his nap, we went on a long walk. The weather has been so nice lately that you just can't stay inside. We played a little more outside before having some FaceTime with Wes. Cash was confused but laughed at him and kept pointing at the screen.

All in all it was a great weekend. I'm a bit tired because we are going pacifier free now. Friday I took all the pacifiers away. It's been an adjustment. The only thing is Cash takes longer to settle in when I put him in his crib and he wakes up earlier. I'm hoping that changes as he adjusts.

That's what we did the rest of Saturday and I'm pretty sure it will continue through today. We played inside, outside and even made a trip to target. Cash doesn't stop!!!! It's crazy. What did I do before he was around?!
