Weekend with family

You can't beat those, right?! Amarillo was in town and we had a great weekend. Shopping, eating and relaxing! What more could you ask for?!?! We love them and miss them so much already. We are hoping to get up to see them this summer. Cash will love their zoo, Wonder World and Splash town!!! 

Aunt Jan bought Cash a new stool! He loves it. One of Katie's friends paints them and this one is adorable. 

The calm before the storm

 That is what I'm calling this period we are in with Cash before the next nugget arrives. Cash is 18 months and he is just a sweet little cuddle bug. He wakes up in a good mood and smiling. When we get to daycare he immediately wiggles out of my arms to sit in the teacher's lap. he loves his daddy and wants to be around him all day long. When Wes is gone, I take advantage of Cash snuggling me and hugging me.  Since summer has officially arrived, we have been more relaxed about Cash's schedule on the weekends. He still sleeps 10-12 hrs at night and takes one nap around noon. During the week he gets to watch his favorite show, Little einsteins, after dinner and before his bath. I keep waiting for him to just spit out full sentences. He doesn't say many words, but "talks" a lot, except when we are around other kids. He is pretty shy and just watches them play. He eventually joins in, but definitely on his own time. Once he warms up, he is so funny and will mimic whatever the other kids are doing. I think he will be a great big bro! 

Fun in the sun

We were expecting to have rain the entire long weekend, but there was just enough sun to make the weekend memorable. I had a bachelorette party the beginning of the weekend so Wes hung out with the nugget and Cam and Jenny came in town. 

Sundays we spend the day at the lake with my dad and Mary. It was the first boat trip of the season and Cash had a really good time. We had lunch at Ski Shores and then putted around the lake. 

Monday we enjoyed the day with amazing friends and their kids. Cash loves hanging out with Jackson and Henry. We are all lucky to have pretty easy-going boys. We had another yummy lunch at Ski Shores and then found a place to beach the boat for some fun in the water. Henry and Jackson loved it and had so much fun. Cash was a little skeptical and didn't like the waves very much, but he laughed and clapped for the older boys while they played. It was the perfect way to kick off summer!

Brushing teeth

The Cash Man has started to love dental hygiene. Before his baths we brush his teeth and he is quite enthusiastic about it :) 

Houston trip

Cash has his first trip to Houston. Friday we went to the zoo and has dinner with Tom Jenna and Callie. Saturday we spent the day with Megan at her baby shower. Cash had fun with the other kiddos and slept like a rock that night. No pictures :(. Sunday we met Becky and her sweet family. We had lunch at a fun place with a playground. Again, no pictures.... Ugh! I have to be better bc we had a great time playing and catching up. Becky's kids are so stinking cute. We are hoping to have an entire weekend together to play. 

Mother's Day 2013

This year I got to spend this weekend with my mom and the nugget. We packed the weekend with so many fun things. It was so busy that I had little time to take pictures but I was able to get a few. Saturday we spent the day at the Children's museum downtown. Cash had a great time exploring and watching other nuggets learn and play. He was mesmerized by the fish rank and loved the slide. When we were down, we treated ourselves to some frozen yogurt. Cash chilled and enjoyed his snack while people watching. We walked around and shopped a little bit on 2nd street until it was time for dinner. We packed up and headed to the galleria to eat and listen to live music at the amphitheater. 

Sunday was spent shopping at target and trying out the food trucks. The lobster rolls were so delicious. And nothing bears ending a fun outing with snow cones and cupcakes. Mother's day weekend was so fun and memorable.
