Alabama

There is a benefit every year down by Wesleys hometown. We have never been before, but this year the headliner was Alabama. We definitely wanted to go once that was announced. It was this past weekend and we went with the Shrouts. It was a lot of fun and of course, Alabama was amazing.

I went down Saturday and headed back this morning. After nap time, we hit up the pool and sprinklers in our backyard. 

Walker is starting to sit on the potty and go to the bathroom but it's random and who knows if we will start potty training soon, but he seems really interested. 

Another weekend full of fun and memories. 

Lady A

For Amy and April's birthday we went to see Lady Antebellum at the 360  amphitheater. It was pretty cool and the weather was so nice. 

Where does the time go?

I know these pictures are random and not very good, but I was watching the boys play the other day after work. When did they turn into such big boys?! Cash looks 5 and Walker has an attitude of a teenager ;). 

I know the days of them running to hug me will be over before I know it. I know Walker will stop calling me Maw one day (hopefully sooner than later-lol). I know Cash will stop asking to sleep with me when Wes is gone because he knows I get a little scared when Wes isn't there. I know that Walker will stop giving me kisses every time he hugs me. I know that Cash will one day stop obsessing over Ninja Rurtles and start obsessing over girls (help me now!). I know that both boys will have their own friends and their own secrets that they won't tell me.  I know that one day I will probably have to beg them to come home to visit, but until then...  I'm just trying to soak up these days as much as I can. And when those days happen, I will probably cry the ugly cry that you try to save for when you are all alone- haha!!

Katie's visit

Katie and joe moved to Alabama to start a new exciting chapter in their life. Before she moved, Katie came to stay with us one more time. 

It's was just one night, but we had fun! I'm looking forward to visit the Pedersons soon! Love you guys! 

Weekend recap

Friday we went to the pool with the Shrouts. Pizza and the pool is starting to become my favorite thing.

Saturday was Cash's first swim lessons where we weren't in the pool with him. We have been talking it up for a week or so and we knew anything could happen. 

You can tell that there is a lot going on at the same time at Nitro Swim school. Cash took a minute to get in with the teacher, but after that, he did really well. 

Walker passed the time taking selfies. 

After swim, walker went with wes and Cash and I went shoe shopping because Cash's feet are growing and growing! When we were done, we had lunch at Panera. It was nice one on one time with my buddy. 

After nap, Cash had Hayden's birthday pool party and he had a good time. 

Today was donuts and lake. My favorite Sunday! 

We bought a Maui Pad and it's a huge floating pad that everyone can fit on at the same time. Cash had fun running and sliding on it.

Raley

Tuesday the 7th of July was a very sad day for us and one that I will never forget.  Poppy and I woke up to find that Raley had passed on during the night.  She had been fighting a brain lesion for a few weeks and we new that we didn't have much time left with her.  I got her when she was 8 weeks old and everyone has always said what a special puppy she was.  It is so strange coming home now and her not being there to greet me and to wag her nublin at me.  Words can't describe how much I miss her.  Here is one of the last pictures I took with her.  At some point I will put together a post full of pictures of her during her 11.5 years.  To say I am devastated and heartbroken is an understatement.

Fourth of July holiday

We have been busy busy this weekend. Wesley and I had Friday off so we went to the Shrout's pool on Thursday and had a pizza party and ice cream. We stayed late and swam hard! Both boys are warming up to the pool. 

Friday we went to the Kolanski's lake house and the Shrouts met up with us out there, too. My phone had no storage so I was not able to take pictures until Saturday, but Candice sent me one of Cash and Lola dancing. They are so funny together. We stayed in the water all day long!

Saturday, Cash slept in until 7:30 and Walker slept until 9:15! Cash and I went for a run with the BOB and looked

 for dinosaurs in the neighborhood. Later that day, the Bottoms and Rauhuts came over for brisket before heading out to lake Travis to watch the fireworks. 

Walker is obsessed with Greyson and follows him around everywhere. 

This morning we set up shop at our dock to grill burgers and dogs while we played in the beach area. I don't have any pictures, but it stated off fun and then we pushed our luck with the boys. The third day in a row to have late naps and we paid the price today! Meltdown City! But we did enjoy most of the time. We have been lounging and watching tv ever since.    I can't believe we start another week tomorrow. It was such a great weekend!
